Daily Nugget:
Every Christian has a responsibility to be a godly example, to exhort the Lord publicly, and to proclaim what God desires of us according to the Word of God. If we do not tell the lost about what the Bible says, who will?
“Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.” Psalm 96:3
Most do not know about the Lord because Christians have been silent about God’s goodness. The unsaved world has heard little of what God has done and is doing in our lives. Since they cannot see Him, they do not understand how He is working in lives today. They, unfortunately, live further away from what He desires of them. In many cases, it is Christianity’s fault that the ungodly know or hear little about what God is doing today.
According to this Psalm and many other scriptures, we must:
- Bless His name (Psalm 96:2). “Bless” means to “show our adoration” for the Lord. Most are silent in this area. Few are even afraid to pray in public and rarely mention what God has done in their lives.
- Tell others how God has helped us each day (Psalm 96:2-3).
- Show that we honor God (Psalm 96:4, 6, 7, 10).
- Give to the Lord (Psalm 96:7,8) the credit due Him, offerings of what He has allowed you to have (Malachi 3:8-20), give of our time, and give allegiance due to Him by attending church….
- Give Him our worship (Psalm 96:9).
- Give Him the respect that is due Him (Psalm 96:9).
God does not use angels to give His message to the unsaved, although He could, and they would. Angels are not visible to the lost to see their obedient-to-God example. That responsibility of obeying and being a godly testimony has been put on our shoulders.
If you love the Lord, tell others. If more broadcasted His goodness, more would know about Him, and God would get the glory and respect He deserves.

Today’s Reading:
Psalm 96
1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10 ¶ Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
